If Risen Chief wanted her to lose focus then he would have his wish granted. The second the heat rays made contact with the battle scar already on her body, any strength she carried over the battleaxe was gone, and the next thing she knew her back was against the wall of a nearby brick building as she slid down to the sidewalk in unbearable agony. Both her back and chest screaming at her for the predicament she was in. She just wanted to be left alone.

“Hey! Where you going!?”
It was Gaia's turn to hoist herself into the air with yet another platform of earth, riding it like a surfboard while making sure to have plenty of it underneath her for added leverage now that she was in the air. Keeping a hand on the side of the platform for steering purposes as she her eyes remained on the silver-haired man.
“Going up? I live on Cloud Nine, how bout you?”

The Risen Chief made a few slow movements of the right arm to make sure the telepathic grip was gone. Through dulled nerves he was partly aware of the right hand being in almost as poor condition as the former battle axe. If not for being dead he'd be too busy screaming as the molted steel descended onto his fingers do to anything. Instead the Risen Chief gave a renewed warcry and thrust the still melting spear-like hilt up to pierce into Superwoman's guts. It remained to be seen if the metal could make it through her barrier and into Kara's abdomen, but no time like the present to see.
Elsewhere Grima wondered why Gaia felt the need to make another random comment every minute. His attention divided briefly on amplifying the larger whirlwind around them. While not enough to disturb the platform or escalate into a tornado, now he had an ample energy supply for a nearly limitless number of vantage points. To prove that fact another volley of crescent blades detached from the surrounding winds from wildly different angles. Three obvious ones flew from the personal whirlwind sustaining Grima's flight, while another set of five approached from Gaia's sides and back. Could an earth caster really expect to fight in flight? Lets find out....

The axe wasn't able to penetrate her skin, but the force behind the blow did manage to push her back. Superwoman looked over to Zira again. There was no telling how badly injured she was after all that transpired. The army was reduced to just one member now, so her choice became obvious; save the woman. Civilians' lives were always more important than stopping the bad guy.
A rush of wind past through the air where Superwoman once stood as she was now next to Zira, lifting her up into her arms and taking off into the air to find a hospital. "It's going to be okay. Everything is going to be okay."

Before Zira could get up to her feet she found herself being carried off by Superwoman.
"W-what are you doing?"
The ground below them was getting smaller the further up they went. This being the highest Zira's ever been since jumping off the rooftop to start off the night. She could only guess what Superwoman was going to do with her now, and that thought alone was enough to terrify her.
"I'll be fine. Promise. Just drop me off somewhere outside of the city."

“Evasive maneuvers!”
Gaia zigged and zagged across the sky to avoid the crescent blades. What she couldn't dodge, she blocked with the platform that was hardened enough to withstand the blast. Other blades hit her on her advancement forward, knocking her through the air and a scream echoed across the winds as she had to pull herself back up on her own platform. Times like these were when she was thankful for the bulletproof vest, even if that wasn't what it was designed for. It still dull the pain a little bit where it counted.
When she got close enough to the man vines and roots started to wrap around her arms. With a few simple swipes they latched out from Gaia's hands towards Grima's body, strong enough to smack him around where he flew. Their intended purpose were to wrap around his limbs and waist in order to subdue him.
“Bulbasaur!”

The Risen Chief took the chance to slowly get back to his feet with the kind of groan only a zombie with another rib slowly breaking could manage. Despite all that he looked around to find Superwoman again. As she flew off with Zira the Risen Chief took a step forward, pulled back his right arm to throw... and halfway through the motion remembered the hilt was mostly welded to his hand. With an unintelligible "GWRAAAAAGH!" he watched the pair of heroines retreat. Even if the Risen Chief gave chase there was no keeping up with someone that could fly. So instead he started wandering toward the sound of wind, figuring his boss was somewhere around there.
Grima sized up the platform's surprising mobility. Perhaps despite her foolish banter the young woman had been smart enough to wear some form of armor with the lack of blood from a direct hit. No matter. Grima took an almost lazy course of evasive action, between the whirlwind and Dragonskin the vines had a tough job from the start.... Yet one did manage to strike his left arm. Grima closed the book and focused the magic along it's spine, using it as a makeshift sword to slash through the vine before Gaia could get a real chance to drag him down. Yet his left palm appeared to be bleeding... or glowing.
A bloody red runic circle appeared on the open palm while a small amount of black mist pooled around the wrist. A matching, but much larger, circle appearing on Gaia's platform. The customized necromancy was already taking effect. "Enough of your blathering." The voice sounded almost demonic... but stopping to think about that wasn't the best idea. Now the mist slithered through the runes on Grima's hand to emerge from the matching circle at Gaia's feet, erupting like a hellish geyser. A pillar of the mist formed slightly taller than Gaia, and much wider. It lingered on the spot for roughly four seconds, a weak gravitational force emitted from the center of the rune would attempt to pin Gaia in place if she was struck by the initial attack. Instead of the necromantic staple of forcing life into the lifeless, this form of the mist sucked the life force out of whatever living thing it touched.

"We need to get you looked at." As soon as Superwoman said those words she remembered what Gaia said earlier. Zira was a telepath, and by the sounds of it she didn't have much control over whose thoughts she read. Okay, so maybe a hospital full of people wouldn't be the best idea. Especially with how jumpy this woman tended to be. New plan. "Okay, no hospitals. I'll take you somewhere quieter. Is that okay?"

"I said, I'll be... FINE!"
Zira's arms became intensely bright to momentarily blind the Woman of Steel, knowing all too well that any attempt to hurt her would just prove futile, using his distraction to break free from her grip and fly through the air with her telekinesis to get away; a trail of fire following in her wake.

“Somebody's cranky.”
Gaia looked down to see the rune on the surface of her platform.
“Oi, this isn't Ancient Runes!”
Gaia tried waving the mist away and when she felt the gravitational pull all she could do was laugh.
“Seriously?”
Gaia tampered with the gravity that was pulling her down to the platform just enough to free herself from its grasp and then separate the piece of cement that the rune was on allowing it to fall through the sky. Returning her attention to Grima, her eyes spotted the spell book and she swung another string of roots to swipe it from his hands.

This time it was Robin's turn to prompt a tag-out. "Someone has had too much sleep if even Nosferatu screws up, my turn you n00b." The long-range setup was officially full of fail in this encounter. The spell sputtered into nothingness as its targeting rune fell from the sky. Now he wasn't about to go losing his ticket to flight, quickly darting to the left to avoid the string of roots. The glow in his eyes faded as Robin reached into his cloak with the empty hand... and made a drastic change in behavior by dashing directly at Gaia.
As he closed the distance Robin's hand emerged from the cloak holding a longsword with a truly bizarre blade. It had a reddish orange color, with a four small stylized holes running through the blade in the shape of flames. Things got stranger when the sword caught fire as Robin let loose an early swing. The weaponized catalyst sent the wave of fire forward at Gaia, and anticipating the inevitable block sent a gale of wind forward to fan the flames and strengthen the spread-shot attack. Unless she managed to punch him out through the flames Robin would circle to the right and close in for a slash to Gaia's back; igniting the blade again for maximum damage.

"Hey!" Superwoman stopped mid-flight and hovered in the air as she watched Zira take off. Telekinesis could do amazing things when you thought about it. She could do amazing things if she used those powers for good. Kara debated whether or not to go after her until she saw Gaia on-going showdown with who the Woman of Steel could only assume was the cause behind all of this.
In a flash, Superwoman put herself between Gaia and the flames, but when the fire hit something unexpected happened. It pierced her barrier. The fire burnt through her cape and to the back of her spandex. A sharp sensation shot through her body as she cried out. What was this sensation? Was it... pain? Was this what pain felt like? Kara wouldn't have much time to mull over it because as soon as she appeared she was sent on a rendezvous with the ground.

Gaia melded together the hole left behind by separating the rune from her platform and then saw the flames coming her way.
“Great balls of fire!”
She didn't bother to block. This time around she steered to the left to get out of the flames' trajectory, and that was when Superwoman came out of nowhere and screamed out in pain. A scream? That was new. Gaia didn't think there was anything that could hurt Superwoman, let alone fire.
“Goddammit, Supes!”
Gaia descended through the air and released several vines to grab the falling Superwoman and hang her on a pole on a nearby building. Unfortunately this left her wide open for Robin's followup attack, feeling the blade slice down her back set it on fire prompting a blood curdling scream from Gaia.
The back of her shirt was ripped open exposing the vest underneath as she propelled herself forward. Gaia ripped off the rest of her shirt and tossed it to rid of the flames before bringing her hand against the platform and using the earth materials to begin healing the pain in her back.
“I need a sidekick. And an icepack.”

The S-chested woman popping out of nowhere almost put a damper on things. But then again Gaia needing to stop and aid her made things easier. Robin let out a gleeful cackle in a very different voice from before as the slash connected. As Gaia fell and Robin opened his mouth again a much younger, and definitely British, voice came forth in a taunt. "Oh that was grand Ms. Meatshield, heroes come at such a discount today." To make matters worse a certain oversized Risen was coming into view as he passed the mental hospital. While not in fighting shape, the Risen Chief was still fit to play a vulture's role.... Gaia just had to mention a sidekick.
Do not start gloating yet, brat. Surely you remember how often earth casters also have healing abilities? Robin did, in fact he was already charging Bolganone to deal with that. He pointed the Flame Sword down at Gaia and the fallen Superwoman... a yellow glow snaking down the blade and coagulating at the tip. The glow ignited as it pooled forming into a sphere of flame, steadily growing. Within a few seconds it looked like the sword had somehow sprouted a red and yellow basketball and set it aflame. Admittedly this was a spell meant to be used from a tome and spent a great deal of the magic Robin could store into a sword.... Worth it. Robin launched the spell and a recoil force from the fireball sent him flying backward and almost knocked the sword out of his hand. The downside to Bolganone was it giving far to much of a warning, the upside being that it hit like a truck once it detonated against something. Now if only the projectile would move faster and actually reach the ground before someone had time to snark again.

Superwoman was tangled in the vines, searing hot pain still traveling through her body as she adjusted to the new sensation. She didn't have time to play surprise. There was still a town that needed saving. Superwoman broke free from the vines and saw the seven-foot beast below make a return. "Not you again!" Kara's eyes then caught the fireball being sent towards Gaia. The advantage to being as fast as she was was the ability to track speed. Superwoman flew towards Gaia within nanoseconds and this time grabbed her, escorting her away from the fireball. "Got ya!"
