Brenda had reached that point in her career, just long enough for it to become monotone. The routine had settled in, names were recognized on a weekly basis, she knew where every paper was without even having to think. The small death caused by perfect muscle memory. She joined in conversations while on break, she flatly shut down her boss's probably incriminating comments, she shuffled money one form at a time. It was better than flipping burgers but it felt just as soul crushing.
Speaking of crushing, there was a rather large man in metal armour in front of her. Brenda looked at the man from over the rim of her glasses, gauging the individual up. She couldn't see his face, his helmet completely covering it. He had what looked like black spandex on, the armour not completely covering his body. His voice had a metallic reverb to it, like a machine-man from an old sci-fi show. "I'd like to make a withdrawal."
Brenda, in the face of this, remained calm. Her voice was dull and professional as she spoke. "Do you have an account at Kansas City Trust?" Maybe it wasn't fully registering that this was a robbery, or maybe the line the robber used had made it impossible to take him seriously, either way, she seemed completely unfazed. "Well, the service here is pretty great." The guy in the armour seemed to shrug, metallic whines coming from the suits many servos and pistons. "However, I am robbing the place." The armoured figure leaned in. "Which way to the vault, miss..." He looked at her nametag quickly. "...Brenda" She pointed a direction vaguely behind her and to the left. "In the back, turn left, right, then right. It's the huge metal door with the wheel on it, can't miss it."
The suit-clad robber leaned down and picked up a pen, actually taking the time to fill out a customer service report incredibly favorably, though his writing was a bit messy due to the large metal gloves. "Thanks." He made a point of leaving the line and heading to the wall, the suit letting out a dull knell as he pulled back and hammered a hole in the wall. "Thank you for using Kansas City Trust, your trust in us is well placed." Brenda remembered her training and pressed the silent alarm under her desk before putting up her closed sign. She had the rest of the day off, seeing as how he hadn't tried to take hostages, maybe she'd go catch a movie.
Deadiron shoulder-checked his way through the wall, stepping into a man's office and shoving his desk out of the way. He seemed to forget where he was going, reassuring himself of the direction before breaking through another wall and heading down the hallway. "Left, and... Left!" There it was, huge metal door with a wheel on it. "Can't miss it." He cracked his knuckles, though doing so had no immediate benefit for him, getting ready to start punching into a bank vault...
