The game of cat and mouse between the Kansas City Police Department and Bane's forces have been going on for some time. Even with the assistance of the superhero Gaia the KCPD was unable to recapture Bane or any of the inmates who escaped their clutches. Bane knew how important time and patience were, and used this to his advantage to create a powerful onslaught with both the police and vigilantes in mind. All thanks to the equation of the Turian space ship. Four vehicles traveled down the road of Kansas City and came to a stop in front of the police station. Out of those four vehicles were men dressed in large alien armor made complete with shielding; equipped with the Phaeston assault rifle, the Krysae anti-material sniper rifle, and last but not least, the ML-77 missile launcher. Needless to say, they had more than enough fire power to finish the job. On their backs were small metal packs with straps that went into their arms and back of the helmet. After his men were out, Bane himself emerged with the ML-77 in his hands, raising it over his shoulder and unleashing a barrage of missiles towards the entrance of the police station. The weapon was used to taking down armor, shields, and biotic barriers, so a door didn't stand much chance against it. A large chunk of the police station's entrance was blown down allowing the soldiers to storm the prescient. Bane lowered the missile launcher and looked on as the battle between outlaw and police commenced. "I'll assume I need no introduction."

Jehanne was going over reports of the latest Gaia sightings when the whole front half of the prescient caved in! Before the smoke from the explosion could even clear, black armored-clad individuals stormed the building and began to fire at anything that moved. Jehanne kicked over her own desk and crouched down behind it, drawing her Beretta and slowly rising up from behind the desk to fire at the armored men only to find her bullets halted by some kind of force-field.
"Goddammit!" Not knowing what else to do, Jehanne headed for the nearest phone to call for backup while other police officers took cover behind their desks to fight back at the invading prison force. Men in custody took advantage of the chaos to escape while the police couldn't give chase. They had bigger things to worry about right now. Like staying alive.

Kragen and Garrus were zip-lining alone the Kansas City's skyline when they heard a loud explosion up ahead. The Ex-Soldier came to a full stop and used the scope on his sniper's rifle to see that Bane and his men were entering the local police station. After days of searching the duo have finally found their man.
"Over here," Kragen told Garrus.
Kragen noticed that Bane lacked the same protection as his men and aimed the scope of the rifle for the back of his head. Finger steady on the trigger, he waited for an opening and quickly took it. Sending a .500BMG straight for his skull.

Garrus moved over to the ledge of the rooftop and used his own scope to get a closer look at Bane and his men. As he feared, they were using the same weapons he wielded, only he didn't have the missile launcher on his person. Only the assault and sniper rifle. Not that he needed much else on Earth of all places. Garrus Vakarian There's no way they'll be able to match that kind of firepower. They'll be slaughtered! Garrus fired the grappling hook down to the ground and descended the wall of the building. With the Phaeston raised, the Turian moved from cover to cover, closing in on Bane's position on the off-chance Kragen missed his mark.

Bane's men anticipated this and used the hardware hacks on their omnitools to interfere with any and all phone signals in the area. There would be no calling for help this time. As soon as Jehanne left the safety of her desk she was a moving target. Due to the alien origins of the weapon it was able to fire smaller and more quantities of bullets while having less kick and more firepower. Eventually, even the desks would give away to its might as the soldiers forced their way through the prescient.
It was true that Bane didn't have on the alien armor of his men, but that didn't mean he was completely defenseless. He had installed a small device on his wrist that looked like a wristwatch capable of activating the alien shields around his body stopping the bullet dead in its track. A ploy to draw fire as anyone with a brain would go after the one man who doesn't seem to have any protection. Thanks to Kragen's taking the shot Bane knew exactly where he was, and turned around with the missile launcher in hand firing in the direction of the bullet. Soon after he lowered the weapon and looked to the in-coming alien.
"Kind of you to join us, Mr. Vakarian."
Not all of Bane's men were inside the prescient. Some had stayed behind in the vans to guard the entrance and their boss. As soon as Garrus arrived the windows of the vans rolled down and more bullets blaze through the air to pin Garrus down where he was. The drivers started up the vans and slowly moved them so they can act as a means of cover and transportation. While this was going on Bane began to make his way into the police station.

No shit she was a moving target! She didn't need that explained to her. Jehanne managed to reach the chief's office before the men inside closed the door and barricaded it. Jehanne reached for the phone on the desk only to hear silence on the other side. "It's dead!” One of the police officers tried their cellphone.
"I can't get a signal, either." "What do we do?" asked the second police officer. The police chief cocked his weapon. "We hold our ground." Jehanne nodded, helping another officer flip the police's chief desk over so they could all use it as cover. Waiting for the inevitable breaking of the barricade to begin firing on the soldiers with everything they had.

Kragen had just enough time to move backwards as the missile hit the edge of the rooftop taking off the corner he was standing on sending him falling down into the fire escape. As the piece of the building collided into the ground with a giant smash, the Ex-Soldier pulled himself up to his feet and began to descend the stairs while offering Garrus cover fire against the soldiers in the vans.

Garrus ducked behind cover and once Kragen drew their fire he tossed a grenade right onto the back of one of the vans. Unlike Earth grenades, this one was flat and able to stick right onto the surface of the van. One detonation later the back of the van blew open and Garrus unloaded shots with the Krysae's explosive and armor-piercing rounds at the soldiers inside.

The soldiers inside the police station picked off the remaining cops who couldn't make it to the chief while Bane came up to Jehanne's desk picking up her papers and looking through them until she found all her reports on Gaia. The detective had been keeping a close eye on the superhero as these reports dated all the way back to her first appearance.
"Superheroes and zombies. Interesting."
Bane tucked away the files and rejoined with his troops inside who were trying to find a way through the barricade the police chief had set. He told them to back away and planted explosives on the side wall and gathered some distance between himself and the explosives before setting it off. The explosion sent debris shooting into the side of where Jehanne and the others were hiding behind the desk making their cover all but useless as the soldiers stormed through the crack to begin shooting.
Meanwhile, outside the police station the other three vans spread out. Their snipers firing on Kragen as he descended down the fire escape. The men in the fourth van were picked off, the driver turning the van around and slamming his foot down on the gas charging towards Garrus with the intent to run him down like a stray dog.

A couple of the policemen were knocked out from the debris while Jehanne and the police chief moved to the side of the desk for cover. The chief fired back at the men as they stormed in, but he was soon pummeled by bullets causing him to fall to the floor dead. "CHIEF!" In her anger, Jehanne pulled out one of the desk drawers and swung it against the troop headed her way. This caught him off guard enough for Jehanne to take his weapon and fire it against his chest knocking him back into his men and blowing through the barricade they made earlier to escape the room.

Kragen dropped smoke grenades onto the stairs to conceal his position from the snipers; making it to the ground and rushing to where Garrus was dealing with the van. With what seemed like a foolish idea, the Ex-Soldier ran straight at the van and lunged at it, catching himself at the front window and placing a C4 explosive onto it before jumping off. Hitting the ground in a roll the fireworks would soon come by the time the Ex-Soldier came to his feet.

Garrus rolled out of the way of the approaching van and made a run for the police station. By the time he reached the entrance he saw Jehanne coming out of the Chief's office and Bane going over some files. Before Bane could react, Garrus aimed his rifle towards his head knowing full well the bullets could bypass his shields. Garrus Vakarian The line ends here, Bane! Tell your men to surrender or you'll be walking around without a head!

When Jehanne left the office Bane reached out the palm of his rather large hand and closed it around her head, using his other hand to twist Jehanne arm back to make her drop the weapon and then held her in place in front of the turian's weapon.
"Do that and she dies."
The rest of his men inside the station came out of the chief's office and raised their weapons towards Garrus.
"Drop your weapon."
The three remaining vans all surrounded Kragen to block his progression forward, the soldiers flooding out and firing at him as soon as the vans' doors flew open.

Out of the frying pan and into the fire. Jehanne wasn't able to make more than two steps outside of the office before she was apprehended by Bane, hissing in pain at the arm twist as she struggled beneath his tight grip while being used as a meatshield against... some kind of alien? Just when she thought Kansas City couldn't get any weirder. The last thing she was going to allow herself to be used for was leverage. "Just shoot the bastard I don't care what happens to me!"

Another grenade dropped to the ground. This one produced a blinding flash of white light and possessed enough kick to render people unconscious. Whether or not that worked was irrelevant, as the blinding light was enough of a distraction for Kragen to slide underneath the van in front of him and continue his trek for the police station. Now standing next to Garrus with his HK rifle raised at the opposing party waiting to see what Garrus would do.
