“No. I figure you the hands-on type.”
Gaia channeled the energy from the Earth and transformed her arms into stone, catching Bane's in-between them and turning her right leg into stone as well to kick him away, her limbs soon returning to normal just as the ground beneath Bane exploded releasing a series of extremely sharped shards of Earth to slice through the barrier.
“I see I was right!”

Garrus was hit straight in the mouth, the bullet ripping right through and tearing out the jaw. He fell onto the floor looking up at the ceiling in a daze unable to do anything about the three men who now towered over him.

How sad it was that Gaia required to enhance her own body to match him instead of taking advantage of what she already had. The barrier held against the shards of Earth and Bane charged forward leading by his shoulder to tackle the superhero into the ground she loved so much.
The soldiers stood over Kragen and Garrus and began to pound them in the ground. Using all their strength to beat the two men to death and ending the rivalry between them and their boss once and for all.

A long black limousine pulled up in front of the police station and Dracula came out of the back. He looked strongly out of place coming in with a ride like that, but that was the norm for someone such as Count Dracula being in a place like this, having the cross he carried.
"Mrs. Jacobs, go through the back and take care of the men inside. I estimate eight men, five of which are hostile."
Dracula could smell them all even here. Only one was alien, the five hostiles had their blood tampered with by some type of drug while the others were human. One in his fifties and another much younger.
"They have forsaken their humanity in favor of power. See to it that they are shown no mercy."
The Count said no more and headed towards the conflict between Bane and Gaia. He sheathed his blade and made his presence known to the leader of this army, "I am Mayor Drake Templar of the Republican Party, and proud representative of the people of Kansas City. If you do not stand down then my sword will rid you of the shit that flows through your veins."
He always was one for words.

"Yes, sir."
Sarah climbed out of the back of the limousine and made her way to the back of the prescient. She noticed the back door had come off its hinges and a dumpster was knocked over to the side. She stepped through the threshold that remained open and saw the five men Dracula was talking about beating the now floored Kragen and Garrus. Using this distraction to act.
"Sound of mind come undone, surrender to chaos just this once!"
A confusion spell. Not the best confusion spell ever written, but it served its purpose. The soldiers immediately stopped what they were doing and looked around unsure of themselves.
"Armor that descends from the stars, come undone where you are!"
The armor the soldiers wore fell apart leaving them vulnerable to Sarah's next attack. She conjured up a bolt of magical energy from her own body and released it through the air, the single bolt breaking apart into tinier projectiles blasting the soldiers backwards through the hall giving Kragen and Garrus some much needed breathing room. Sarah approached Kragen and knelt down next to him, summoning the bullets out of his body and resting a hand over the wound, a white light emitted from her palm to stop the bleeding and close the wound.

The pain in Kragen's body disappeared and he stood up to his feet. Before he could thank the stranger he noticed that the armor on the men was on the floor and they were vulnerable to attack. After what they did to him and Garrus he would show no mercy. He brandished his knife and proceeded to slit each and every one of their throats while they were lost in the confusion spell.

Once Gaia's body hit the ground it enveloped her in cement and pulled her underground away from Bane's grasp. Even then she could hear the words of the mayor on the surface above as she dug through the dirt, using the vibrations of the ground above to calculate where Bane was for her next attack.
Gaia summoned tectonic energy from the Earth's crust and charged it through her body before releasing dual beams from her hands firing it straight through the dirt and through the ground that Bane was standing on.

Garrus remained motionless on the floor. His wounds were pretty severed, and while it was possible to heal some of them, these scars would remain a constant reminder of the one time the blue turian fucked up. Even the best of warriors made mistakes. He didn't know it now, but he would survive, and become all the stronger for it.

Bane was no fool. He knew that Gaia was extremely dangerous the closer she got to the ground. Bane kept moving in different directions and then stopped altogether just long enough to bait her into an attack before jumping out of the way. Now advancing towards the mayor.
"I see the people have a fighting mayor. Good. It will make it more satisfying when the city sees you broken."
Little did Bane realize that the rest of his men were dead.

"The last men who saw me broken were the first men I killed."
Dracula charged forward, swinging his sword diagonally upward putting all of his superhuman strength into a single swing to penetrate the barrier around the masked man's body and cleave him in two. The Count was not one who liked to drag out an encounter, contrary to popular belief. He'd much rather end this fight as swiftly as possible so that the next person who thought about causing a scene in this town will soon change their mind when they heard of the mayor who single-handedly took out a terrorist with a long sword.

Sarah made no effort to stop Kragen from slaughtering the remainder of Bane's army. Dracula had no interests in arresting these men for trial. There weren't even any police officers left to hold them. No, something as major as losing your police force had to be met with a swift and decisive death. Sarah took this time to take a piece of the alien armor and tuck it away in her coat pocket, now walking down the hallway to Garrus' unconscious body.
That was a nasty wound to be sure and Sarah crouched down to get a closer look. Her hand waving over the alien's face to repair what she could. While not able to completely reconstruct the jaw she was able to sew it back up to where there would be no pain or discomfort. A nice battle scar for him to show the ladies if anyone could ever get past the alien part of his identity, which will take some doing in America. Sarah stood up and turned back to Kragen.
"Your friend should be returning to consciousness at any moment. My employer is already taking care of the terrorists' leader."

Kragen cleaned off his knife and returned it to his pocket. His head snapped in the direction of Sarah when she informed him what was going on outside. As much as he wanted Bane dead they still needed him alive long enough to learn the whereabouts of Garrus' ship. Knowing that his ally was in good hands, Kragen took off outside of the police station to see the mayor and Bane locking horns.
The Ex-Soldier tread lightly across the ground not making a single sound as he neared Bane's blind spot. Picking his spot, Kragen leaped into the air and landed on top the bigger man's back, wrapping his arms around Bane's neck and putting him in a choke hold to render him unconscious. He wouldn't let the mayor kill him yet.

“That is not the sound of a man screaming in pain because he got hit with an energy beam.”
Gaia dug her way back to the surface to find the mayor of all people swinging a sword at Bane while Gas Mask jumped on his back trying to put him to sleep with a headlock.
“Well, look at Mr. Popularity all of a sudden. I didn't know I had to pick a number to get to you.”
All Gaia could do now was wait and see how the new string of attacks worked and help where she can.

Not a moment went by when she didn't think about that day. The day she lost her parents forever. The city did its duty, tried to help, but it only made things worse. People didn't care. They didn't care if a child was without a home. Just as long as they had their cute little baby boy or girl all was right with the world. Damn the older children for being old. They weren't as adorable. Weren't as desired.
Not a moment went by when she didn't think about her, either. The woman everyone claimed to be a hero. A god. The woman that saw nothing but praise for the things she's done. None of them knew the truth. None of them wanted to believe the truth. That she was a murderer. The ender of countless lives, and if her worship continued then rage would fall from the sky from forces long since forgotten. Forces that would not be pleased with being forgotten.
The woman showed herself. Gaia. Making the same quips she always did. A smile on her face. An insufferable smile that only showed in the face of misery. How could anyone be taken seriously when she took nothing seriously? The second she revealed herself, standing out in the open focused on the terrorist, Sincara saw her chance. From the rooftops she aimed the revolver at the back of Gaia, charging up her shot and releasing a single .357 magnum from the chamber with a strong enough enchantment to act as an armor-piercing round. Going right through Gaia's shirt and the bulletproof vest underneath to the back of the bitch's heart.

Garrus slowly came to. Looking up to see Sarah standing over him. In the light she almost looked like an angel, but the turian knew better than to believe in them. He pulled himself up to a sit and was surprised by how little pain he felt. That couldn't be right. He was shot in the mouth of all places. There should be plenty of pain left for him to withstand. His eyes settled back on Sarah smelling the fresh scent of blood and noticing Kragen was nowhere to be found. Garrus didn't have to wonder what he was doing. Garrus Vakarian How bad is it?
