The search for Bane proved to be every bit as tasking as fighting Bane. With few options left Kragen decided it was time to think outside the box. He went over to the dumpster and pushed it off to the side. He didn't know what he'd find, if anything, but if all other possibilities were exhausted, and he wasn't still in the alley, then there had to been some way he made it out of here unseen.

Kragen was on the right track. The dumpster was hiding a window entrance into the basement of the building to their right. There they would find Bane's footprints across the floor leading to a second entrance into the sewers.

Garrus Vakarian I don't understand this at all. He couldn't have just disappeared. Even turian technology can't make transporters. Garrus turned around at the sound of Kragen's moving the dumpster and saw the window on the other side. He approached it and saw the footprints on the floor inside. Garrus Vakarian Good work, Kragen. He went this way. Garrus opened the window and dropped down into the basement. He followed the footprints to a secret entrance that led down into the sewers. To think this whole time they could have gone down the manhole to find him. But better to be thorough. Garrus Vakarian You ready?

They were finally getting somewhere. Kragen followed Garrus into the basement and kept his weapon pointed forward in case Bane left behind any nasty surprises for them. The Ex-Soldier's eyes now fell upon the passageway into the sewers that Garrus found. Kragen only nodded at Garrus' question and took point, proceeding down to the sewers below to continue their search.

Garrus double checked his equipment. There was no telling what was down there waiting for them if Bane went that way. It was remarkable he found the time to do the things he did in the alley. The turian watched Kragen take point and climb down the ladder into the sewers as Garrus descended the ladder soon after him. There was nowhere left to go now, but forward.
