Legion descended inside the tornado of dust, an invisible barrier surrounding her body protecting her from Gaia's power as she made her descent all the way down to the bottom to meet the heroine face to face. Tendrils broke apart the ground, rising up from the earth to impale the woman where she stood. The tendrils surrounded Gaia, looking to shroud her in the same darkness that the Devil Child knew all too well.
While this was going on, Legion saw it fit to boost her own strength and endurance expecting the worse from the heroine. There were many telekinetics in the world, but few of them realized the true wonder of their gift. They only understood its basic form, however there were many things one could do with the power. For instance, you could increase your own strength through it. Raising your body to a stature that it otherwise wouldn't possess. Legion did this with a mere thought and was prepared for how the heroine would escape the hand of darkness.
The hand of death.

“Showoff.”
Gaia launched a torrent of razor sharped leaves at the tendrils, slicing them apart from all sides the closer they got as Gaia back trek through the path left behind by the leaves. Readying her vines to wrap around the tendrils and keep them at bay if they continued their assault after the leaves did their job.
“Come out, come out, wherever you are!”

Be careful what you wish for...
Legion came out of the darkness behind Gaia. The tendrils ripped to shreds only to reform and duplicate at the result of their destruction. Breaking the grip of the vines and continuing on their path to the heroine. The Devil Child shot both her hands forward, laying a punch against the triceps with the strength of twenty men, and without needing to reach up due to her height. It was as if she was on equal footing with the woman transcending the physical form.

Gaia wasn't as wide open as one may be led to believe. She was feeling the earth's vibrations through her feet for any signs of the Devil Child. When she reemerged behind her and came forward to launch her attack, Gaia was ready for her. She spun around and grabbed the arm that threw the punch, pulling on it and sending Legion tumbling right into her own tendrils.
“Boom shakalaka!”
