Name: Thor Odinson
Alter-Ego: n/a
nicknames:Thunderer,God of Thunder, (Goldie locks- named by Tony stark), Son of Zues etc
Age: Immortal but appears to be in his late 20's
Gender: Male
Alignment: Hero
Date of Birth: Unknown
Place of Birth: Asgard
Physical Appearance:
Thor stands at a height of 6'8ft or 6'7ft He is highly musculen and well built like all asgardians naturally are. He wears armour crafted by Asgardian dwarfs and enchanted by elves, it is also composed of multiple asgardian metals, this armour is worn with black pants made of a different material and to top of the rest of the look he wears a long red cape that reaches the floor when worn despite his height. Even though the cape reaches the floor it still has never been dirty so most would assume the cape is also enchanted, since none of seen a stain on it.Thor also has long blond hair that is approximately shoulder length or slightly longer than that, his skin lacks blemishes or scars from battle despite the fact that he has been in more battles than he can keep track of.
Thors beared matches his hair and he has a set of light blue eyes that almost give off an accurate reflection of the thunder he manipulates. His armour has multiple round pieces of metal on it that represent his achievements.
Special Abilities:
•Super strength:
Thor's strength level is officially rated at Class 100 in the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe (OHOTMU). This rating is the highest possible given and means that the character's upper strength limit has not been measured. As an example of Thor's strength, he has battled the Hulk many times without his hammer and traded blow for blow with the green behemoth. Since the Hulk's strength increases with his anger, his peak strength is probably greater than Thor's.
•Resistance & invulnerability:
As an Asgardian, Thor inherits a great deal of physical invulnerability and resistance to magical and energy attacks. This, coupled with the Asgardians' superior healing ability, makes any Asgardian a formidable opponent. Thor, however, has a dramatic advantage over other Asgardians: his lineage. His father is Odin, the All-Father of the Norse Gods and one of the most powerful forces in the Universe. His mother is Gaea, the Earth goddess, an Elder god of Earth. The combination of these two powerful bloodlines potentially makes him more powerful than either. With his innate invulnerability, Thor has survived near-ground-zero nuclear blasts with no noticeable damage.
•Warrior's madness
Thor, as with all Asgardian warriors, can undergo a change in personality known as "Warriors Madness". In this state, Thor's strength is supposedly increased ten-fold. The downside to this change is that he loses control of his better judgement and becomes a danger to any allies around him. Thor's control over this change has been sporadic; he was able to do so against the Maestro, but was unable to do so against Onslaught.
• Indomitable spirit:
This is one of the most compelling qualities about the god of thunder. He literally refuses to quit even in the face of impossible odds and invincible opponents. This "never say die" attitude can often create doubts in the minds of his opponents, forcing them to eventually retreat or make costly mistakes. An excellent example of this is when Thor decided to fight a Celestial to protect a planet from destruction. Even though he was incredibly outmatched, he actually offered the Celestial a chance to surrender before beginning the battle.
•Mjolnir as weapon:
Mjolnir:
As a battle weapon alone, Mjolnir is a formidable force. Forged from the indestructible asgardian element uru, the hammer has two enchantments that are particularly useful. The first causes Mjolnir to always return to Thor's hand after being thrown. Or corollary to this is that Thor can "call" the hammer to him. The second is the famous "worthiness" enchantment, which prevents anyone but Thor from wielding the hammer.
Control over weather (Mjolnir):
Thor is the god of thunder and storms and has control over all forms of weather. He can create raging electrical storms complete with thunder, lightning, hurricane-force winds, tornadoes and torrential rains. He can also create any of these phenomena individually. Another aspect of this power allows him to stop any of these weather conditions as well. The powers are shown as being channeled through Mjolnir. Also, Thor cannot be injured by lightning or any other weather-related effects.
To illustrate the extent of this control, Thor's power of weather can be compared to Storm's, a mutant imbued with weather controlling powers. Although very powerful, Storm can only manipulate existing weather conditions to achieve the desired effect. Creating a thunderstorm in a desert would take much longer than normal. Thor, on the other hand, creates weather conditions as a result of his godhood. Creating a thunderstorm in a desert requires no more effort than normal. While Storm can manipulate weather, Thor can just as easily undo her manipulations with little effort. In Marvel vs. DC, Thor defeated Captain Marvel by simply withholding the lightning that allowed him to transform from Billy Batson into the superhero.
• Flight (Mjolnir):
Thor can fly using Mjolnir. This is typically accomplished by throwing Mjolnir and holding onto its strap. Once airborne, however, Thor is able to maneuver and change direction. This travel can be done at an incredible velocity; Thor has been shown overtaking spaceships that were travelling at near light-speed. After throwing Mjolnir, Thor can remain airborne until the hammer returns to his hand. There is obviously a lot more control here than Thor just hanging on for the ride, but it has never really been explored beyond this.
• Mystic energy blast (Mjolnir):
Thor is able to project powerful mystic energy blasts from his hammer. This tactic is typically only used against opponents that also use energy-based attacks. Similarly, Thor can fire lightning bolts directly from Mjolnir. When this is done, the power of the lightning is magnified greatly.
• Absorb and redirect energy (Mjolnir):
Mjolnir is able to absorb and redirect tremendous amounts of various forms of energy. When redirecting energy, Thor has shown the ability to exert some control over it. Some noteworthy examples of absorption include absorbing Magneto's force field, rendering his vulnerable to physical attacks. Mjolnir has also shown the ability to attract and absorb Power Cosmic blasts from the Silver Surfer, removing a significant attack from his arsenal. Another example involved drawing the magnetic energy from a planet and redirecting it into a attack against a Celestial. Only the last example took any additional time or concentration to perform.
• Detect energy sources (Mjolnir):
Thor can use Mjolnir to find sources of energy or magic. This has been used to find track down, among others, Magneto and the magic Norn Stones.
• Long distance vision:
Thor has the ability to see things at a much greater distance than normal. THis was useful when he and Thunderstrike were on the Empire State Building, looking across New York in search of the Destroyer.
• Guided hammer (Mjolnir):
Thor could command Mjolnir to chase or seek out a particular foe, driving him out of hiding.
Communication: Thor is able to use his hammer Mjolnir to communicate with the Asgardian gate keeper,His father Odin or his mother Gaea. His father or the gate keeper are able to open portals for Thor which allows him to go to asgard or other places.
History:
Thor is the first born son of the all Father of Asgard Odin and Gaea an earth goddess. It is still unknown how Odin managed to talk his wife into allowing such a thing but he managed to do it and conceive Thor in the process. From the day of Thors birth he was taken away to Asgard and not allowed to see his biological mother, instead Odin's wife Frigga was more than happy to raise Thor as her own , Thor was oblivious to this fact until his first trip to earth which took place when he was actually in his 20's. Thor had been an only child up until the age of 2 which is when Odin brought home Loki, Thor was more than happy to have a younger brother and Loki was happy to have Thor as a brother at that time since they were still quite young and enjoyed each other's company.
Sadly that all changed when they reached the ages of 7 and 8 . Thor had become paranormally strong, even by the standard of Asgardians at the early age of 8 where as Loki didn't develop such qualities. By the time Thor was 12 he could hold his own against a platoon of soldiers and infact he would spar with multiple Asgardian soldiers and do more than just "stand his ground". It would seem that the unique genes that Odin had decided to give Thor had payed off since it had made his son far stronger than normal asgardians. Thor still loved his brother Loki even though he wasn't much of a warrior, Loki was more gifted in the magic department. Loki was bright , quick witted and a natural at illusions and spell casting which was something Thor couldn't quite do. Although Loki was slightly jealous of Thor he still loved his older brother , They fought side by side with Sif and the warrior's three for years and Loki's jealousy seemed to fade until Thor was given the mighty hammer Mjolnir.
This was supposed to be one of the 6 most powerful weapons in all of Asgard and it was given to Thor as a birthday gift. Loki on the other hand had been given a hand crafted sceptre, things only got worse when Thor's fame grew across all other planets and universes. His fame had earned him a title as one of the strongest Asgardians apart from his own Father. Thor had faced large armies ,pathetically outnumbered and still came out on top. In some cases in history Thor was even around during earth wars and had survived a neuclear explosion with no visible scars or damage to tell the tale but when he does tell the tale he explains that he was trying to protect a "bomb proof" Bunker full of innocent people. Thor had survived Other tragic accidents and still came out with little to no damage that seemed to fade with time. He has been around for thousands if not millions of years and had been in more battles than he could keep track of.
Loki noticed Thor would be next in line to rule as king so he tricked Thor into starting a war with the frost Giants against Odin's will, this not only got Thor banished but Thor was stripped of his power and sent to live on midgard. Though it was thought off as punishment Thor had learnt a lot and came out of the experience a more humble person. After being given his abilities back Thor had a certain bond with Midgard since it always reminded him of Gaea his biological mother, since then he found it to be his duty to protect earth. This was how he eventually met the avengers and became one of earth's heores. At first his father was against the idea but Time and battle were the only two things that made Asgardians more powerful So Odin agreed to let Thor be a hero until he had lived and battled long enough to properly rule as King of Asgard. Thor is now allowed to visit Asgard by contacting his father or the gate keeper and asking for a portal home.
