Receiving news of the local police coming under devastating attack through the metaphorical grapevine was a nice hint that today was a fine day for a robbery. Grima missed mass teleportation. Sadly none of his current minions could handle teleporting the undead in the quantities desired.... So instead a trio of nondescript gray vans headed to the Kansas City Art Museum. The windows were slightly tinted. Maybe a casual glance could miss the fact that the van's drivers were wearing animal-skull styled helmets. Stealth wasn't the issue though, merely storage. Just about everything in the van behind the driver's area had been removed as superfluous baggage to fit as many minions as possible. It was a little more than two hours after the attack on the Police headed by Bane had started when the vans reached the parking lot. Ignoring all rules of driving the stopped close to the doors with enough room between them for someone to walk around. Then the rear doors were practically ripped off their hinges from the inside as a group of The Rotten stormed into the parking lot in a screaming frenzy. Flesh-Eater Attention Deficit Disorder demanded they menace random passerby instead of focus on the mission. Fair enough, the group of twelve almost movie-style zombies were just here as distractions. Even with the Necromantic enhancements they were much stronger or faster than civilians, but great for spreading panic and drawing attention. Next, The Risen filed out of the vans, a Risen Myrmidon stopping long enough to cast a scoffing glare at the lesser undead. Yet they were left to rampage mindlessly, as the Fell Dragon always enjoyed a backdrop of panicked screams while working. Everyone quickly gathered at the main entrance. The group was lead by a pair of Risen Knights, who formally announcing the Grimleal's arrival by bashing the door open with their shields. The knights strode in with just enough threat to their body language to serve as a silent announcement of 'Hi there, THIS IS A ROBBERY!'. As they advanced as an initial wall against any security forces that'd respond to the invasion, the Myrmidon, a Risen Mercenary, and Risen Barbarian filed into the building. A procession of five zombies in total had entered the building before their master Grima joined them as if fashionably late. The Risen advanced through the building ahead of Grima, virtually ignoring civilians unless they either stood in the way or proved foolish enough to resist their passage. Anyone that attempted to block The Risen, either by frozen cowardice or thinking they could fight back, would be cut down on the spot.
Robin had worked to expand their bag of tricks a bit before they left. In addition to the spell catalysts and magic swords, the repaired cloak now carried several small jars of shredded scraps of silver. Near the usual flame and levin swords a total of four thin steel pairs etched with silver waited for him to toy with magnetism techniques. Meanwhile the truck's drivers, a trio of Grimleal Mages waited and watched. Despite bringing along several spellcasters, Grima had mostly resigned them to calling reinforcements if necessary. Yet only the Hydromancer of the group thought to say... cast a barrier over himself while biding his time. Sniper attacks were a thing after all. For that matter he slipped between the seats to lurk in the windowless back of the van. Paranoid cultists have a tendency to live longer.
Speaking of reinforcements, the newly regenerated Risen Chief was lurking in the sewers near the museum with a larger contingent of Risen. Sure, he'd complained about that when they were lining out the plan as it was rather difficult to leave the hiding place quickly, put its easier to argue with a wall than an evil dragon. If nothing else he had a new Great Axe that was sure to be fun if/when he was called. Prince Leoric meanwhile, had been left behind near their lair. After all he could reach the location quickly via flight, and drag plenty of lackies with him.

Ash wanted to see the Medusa Head himself. Dressed in his sleeveless hoodie, bandana around his mouth and nose would hide his identity. He'd already accepted that he'd have to break a few rules to get to it. Thanks to his Cryportation sneaking in was the easy part the advancing group was the hard part.
"Figures. My one day off." Ash pulled his hood up and out in front of the group. "HEY!" Yelling loudly at the group his Kori Blade forming in his hands. "I don't think any of you paid the admission fee. That's enough for you to be put on ICE!"
Throwing a frost ball at a few of the zombies would freeze them. Spinning his sword once in his hand the readied himself. "Stay frosty I've got more ice puns."

Thor had just left the scene of the assault on the police station, his intention was to get a meal and maybe go home to Asgard he had been walking on the streets instead of flying since he was in no rush and he could see the food offered by each store. Suddenly the son of Asgard heard a collection of roaring screams that unsettled him and put him out of his state of relaxation. This wasn't the roaring scream of a crowd in admiration so he let out a sigh ,spun his hammer Mjolnir and took flight. He floated in the air while looking for the source of the noise when suddenly he noticed it. The crowd was being haunted by undead beings
Thor swooped in at a great speed and he noticed quite clearly that the point of the attack was a building that a squad of knights had entered along with some backup. Thor didn't bother with that and focused on the mindless unrested beings that were trying to feed on human flesh, he then noticed another person that seemed to be fighting against the undead beings. The younger male appeared to literally freeze the undead. "Greetings," Thor spoke while throwing Mjolnir, the thrown hammer flew as if it had its own mind and struck 3 zombies before returning to Thor. "I am Thor, Son of Asgard. Go forth and bring down the one who has brought this plague. Worry yourself not about the undead. Thor didn't mind playing sidekick and handling the minions, he then leaped into battle against the undead zombies that had been troubling the civilians. In a matter of seconds zombies were flung in this direction or the other, while he fought with his bare hands his hammer flew around guided by Thor himself to attack other zombies that were chasing civilians.

There was no greater feeling in the world than the wind blowing through your hair as you flew across the sky. However brief, that feeling always brought a smile to the Woman of Steel's face whenever she went out on patrol. Superhuman hearing picked up the screams of the innocent as she followed the sound landing in a parking lot belonging to the local museum. There, she noticed a man who could freeze people and a blonde with a hammer playing whack-a-mole with zombies. Superwoman recognized the undead in the parking lot and a knot turned in her stomach.
The Woman of Steel used her speed to grab any nearby civilian and get them as far away from the fighting as possible before returning to the lot. Letting the armored man take care of the undead for now as she entered the museum to head off the knights inside. Punching her way through the knights that stood in her way, her superhuman strength more than enough to break through the shields and not have to worry about the armor dulling her blows. At least as far as she was aware. She needed to be careful, though. She remembered how much damage Grima did to her the last time they fought.

The undead weren't vulnerable to temperature shock, making the freezing almost harmless. Aside from the fact of how easily immobility could get someone killed. As Sub-Zero froze a total of three of the Rotten, the Necromancer lurking in one of the vans barked a telepathic order of "Focus on the HERO you fools!" The only zombie to not heed the command was crouched on the hood of a car, trying to claw it's way through the windshield at a civilian woman inside. The civilian almost calmly kept her eyes on the zombie and slowly reached for the gun in her glove box... Hopefully the movies were right and a headshot or two would be enough.
As the zombies advanced on Sub-Zero with a demeanor similar to a pack of cannibalistic drug junkies, the three closest to him received a surprise hammering. Despite many a sickening crunch of broken bones they were quickly trying to get up. Simply ignorant to the damage they had sustained instead of unharmed. The woman didn't get the chance to find out as a flying hammer swooped by and sent the zombie flying like a ragdoll, it screamed like a little girl. As Superwoman arrived on the scene and evacuated those trapped on foot, the near-victim in the car just stomped the gas petal and made a more conventional escape... Running other the zombie Thor's Mjolinr had graciously bashed from the vehicle was petty, but why let it get back up?
The Woman of Steel soon sped into the museum seemingly faster than the time it took to blink. More importantly Thor was pounding his way through the zombies far too fast for comfort. "uuuuh, Chief. We're gonna need some Risen up here pronto. Two heroes in the parking lot and one just sped into the museum." The tone of nervousness wasn't lost on the Risen Chief. "Eight of ya get to the surface." The Chief started giving orders of his own. "Barbarians go for whoever looks sturdier, Myrmidons take out the squishies. Mercs, make damn sure nobody gets through to the mages." Already the Risen were going up the ladders, two manhole covers off to the left and right of the museum with four Risen each climbing to the surface. From the left a two Myrmidons, and two Barbarians charged for the parking lot. From the right it was a single Barbarian and three Mercenaries. All had weapons drawn, axes for the Barbarians, a sword and shield combo for the Mercenaries, and despite their mild eastern vibe, a pair of Scottish Claymore blades for the Myrmidons.
The pair of Risen Myrmidons made a beeline for Sub-Zero, they'd chance him straight to the Museum doors if need be. The oversized blades didn't seem to slow them down in the slightest. Superpowers aside, an unarmored kid was without a doubt the easier target here. One of the pair pulled ahead, and if the Risen got anywhere close to melee range with Sub-Zero would greet him with a horizontal arching swing of the two-handed blade.
While slightly doubtful about the whole situation, the Risen Barbarians likewise charged to Thor. If Thor was the type to aim for the kill he could easily have disposed of the Rotten before any of the Risen could reach him. The first of the Risen Barbarians performed a reckless leaping slash at Thor, not quite taking into account that he was likely to be smashed out of the air by the independently flying Mjolnir. Meanwhile the other two circled around the sides to flank the Asgardian.
At long last we come to the scene in the museum itself. The Risen Knights had virtually no time to react before their shields were shattered by Superwoman, however the armor proved sturdier. Kara would be able to feel a tingle of magical energy reinforcing the armor as her fists slammed into the platemail. While bent horribly by the impacts and many times beign pushed far enough to still impact against the undead despite the armor, it averted the fate of crumbling instantly. The Knight on the left was bowled overas the armor's weight worked against him, yet the other Knight of the pair managed a clumsy thrust of his spear through the hail of punches... but really it was a moot effort without being able to keep proper footing to put real force behind it. Meanwhile the Risen Barbarian inside the museum made an utterly reckless leap over the Knights and at Superwoman. He aimed to bring a two handed swing and blow the axe into Kara's face. Even with his enhanced strength it would be difficult for the Barbarian to inflict real damage.
Grima for the moment ignored the scene. He expected it wouldn't be too long before the place was flooded with heroes and simply took a different route toward the dim scent of otherworldlyness in the closed off section of the museum. However he didn't ignore Superowman's presence completly. The Fell Dragon kept a fresh Arcfire tome in one hand, dangling open and ready to creamate something. The remaining Mercenary and Mrymidon stayed close to him, keeping themselves between where Superwoman was last seen and their master.

Ash watched the two fighters charge him with their giants weapons. Gripping his sword tight he waited for them to strike and jumped back out of the way of their attacks. When the swords made contact with the ground Ash placed both hands on the ground between them and froze them to the ground.
Giving a quick thumbs up to Thor he created himself a pair of ice gauntlets. "These guys aren't playing around. Time for some serious pain." Spikes formed at the knuckles of his gauntlets he spun his sword slicing at the two that had tried to cut him in half with their giant swords.
He felt something wet his his cheek. Checking it he saw blood. He wasn't hit. Where did it come from?

A man in blue and silver swooped down from the sky being carried by the wind. The same wind that spread out across the field in a powerful gust threatening to blow the Risen left into the sky. He looked like he was pulled straight out of a comic book, dressed in an eye mask to protect his identity, spandex, and a cape that doubled as a cloak. The wind bent around him, standing in wait as he moved towards the van. Raising his hand and creating another powerful gust of wind to knock the vans over into the nearby wall.
"No parking in the handicap spot, please."

Laughter could be heard from the distance. Smoke trail drifted across the night's sky. A costumed freak on a glider soared through the air, bullets pumping out of the front towards anyone on the ground living or dead just for the hell of it as his cackle grew louder. He crashed through the windows near the top of the museum and flew above the others inside. Dropping a pumpkin bomb right in front of Grima that detonated as soon as it touched the ground to slow the man down as he made a beeline for where he knew the Medusa's head was being held. The head that would be his soon enough. His laughter filled the halls and became distant as he set off further into the museum.

The Green Goblin would be met with a .45 ACP round to the chest for his troubles. Laura was at the museum checking in on the Medusa's head and getting ready to answer more questions about it for the next group to come in when the attack happened. It was to be expected. Something as powerful as the Medusa's head was going to attract the wrong kind of attention sooner or later.
"The museum's closed."

Superwoman took the blunt end of the spear and shot back with a fist. Most would've laughed at such a thing if it wasn't for the superhuman strength behind the blow making it as good as having a weapon in her hand. The ax-wielder came out of nowhere and managed to knock Superwoman through the air and into a nearby sculpture. So much for art. No way was she paying for that on a reporter's salary. The Woman of Steel got back up to her feet and charged the Risen Barbarian breaking off into a tackle followed by more punches.

Thor had been dealing with the few undead that were left as Mjolnir knocked the head off of one of the zombies that were out of Thor's reach. Suddenly out of no where more warriors arrived, these seemed to be more organised than the first wave of the undead. As Thor finished dropping the last zombie with his bare hands he noticed a large shadow comming from behind and as he turned around the sight of an axe slashing down at him widened his eyes as the axe came straight down and struck him in the chest. Usually that would have gone straight through a person but thanks to his lineage Thor was far more resistant than normal asgardians. The strike didn't quite penetrate his armour but the force behind the strike caused Thor to take a few steps backward in surprise. From that moment all Thor did was smirk to himself, Usually he would go straight for the person that was causing this madness but the chance of trading shots with someone half as strong as himself was too much to pass up.
Thor simply opened his hand and Mjolnir flew right into it while Thor clutched the handle and noticed that he was surrounded. Thor suddenly struck the ground with his hammer and caused a powerful shockwave to push everyone away from him, he then threw Mjolnir at the Barbarian that had struck him before, Thor was accurate enough to hit the barbarian while it was flying backwards due to the force of the shockwave. While Mjolnir went for the first barbarian Thor ran towards a second one and grabbed his leg then proceeded to spin around while holding the barbarian's leg. After a few high speed spins He suddenly let the leg go after gathering a good amount of force and launching the barbarian right throught a car a few blocks away.
He then called back Mjolnir and looked at the third barbarian, Thor's red cape finally got to float back downwards gently and touched the ground.

Ash's reprisal was mostly successful. The first of the Myrmidons made the mistake of trying to simply pull the blade back to free it from the ice. The second of the pair let go of the blade, freeing up his hands to break the ice of a quick series of punches. Still they were both left vulnerable to the child hero's blade. It cut deep, but failed to breech anything vital to the dead. The stale blood from the wounds would not be missed. The second Myrmidon recovered his blade, swiftly strafing to the right side to get his partner out of the blade's arc; and bringing the claymore down in a diagonal slash at Sub-Zero. This time the Risen aimed for the shoulder, tricky prey should be dealt with piece by piece.
The forerunner of the Risen Barbarians briefly wondered if he should have brought a larger axe, or if the target was simply had the power of invulnerability. Thinking later, rending now. The group of Risen descended upon Thor like a wolfpack as his hammer returned. Then the shockwave hit, and the first of the Risen Barbarians was struck again by fearsome Mjolnir before he could properly make sense of what happened. That third set of ribs from the top would be sorely missed, sorely indeed with part of it inside his left lung.... Thankfully the need for breath had long passed. Soon the second Barbarian found himself wishing he could ask the Earth to stop spinning long enough for him to aim a strike, realizing he was the one spinning has the momentum gathered by Thor took it's course. It'd take a bit to disentangle from the broken bowels of the car the Risen had struck from the side, and the damn alarm was not helping.
Last but not least Risen Barbarian #3 was already coming at Thor as he turned to look. With a savage scream half distorted by festering vocal cords, the Risen Barbarian loosed a two handed slash at Thor's left arm. To the Risen the thought of 'disarming' a foe was taken a little too literally. The first was still down but not out, simply stabbing his axe into the ground and clinging to it to weather a different force that was taking the area.
The frontline of the Risen almost ignored Uranus' entrance. Meanwhile the Mercenaries and vans were sent flying, interrupting the Necromancer from relaying the situation via telepathy and leaving the Risen Chief quite annoyed. The first to exit the vans was the Grimleal Hydromancer. Recovering from being tossed around the van quite nicely thanks to the barrier he cast earlier. As if it was his means of a greeting a torrent of water surged upward from the gaping maw of his Elwater tome. The top of the geyser twisted unnaturally to face Uranus and began to rapidly freeze.... morphing into a barrage of icicles launched at him in mimicry of machine-gun fire and easily just as lethal.
While the Necromancer struggled to escape the deployed airbag, and the Pyromancer hiding out in the last van tried to keep his rebellious bowels from expelling lunch, the three Risen Mercenaries slowly recovered from their rough landing. Uranus had their full and unfriendly attention.... and has soon as they could stand straight they'd get right around to tearing him limb from screaming limb.
Elsewhere a Risen Knight thought to himself, This is surely the start of a bad day... as the spear thrust proved useless and earned another punch that left a hole in his plate armor. Even with the Risen Barbarian giving them breathing room it didn't make the overall situa.... Yup, the Barbarian was already halfway across the room under Superwoman getting his face pounded in. One of the Risen Knights immediately charged over to follow Superwoman. While the loud clanking was a dead give-away to the attack, the armored Risen now having momentum built up could prove problematic as he aimed another spear thrust for Superwoman's right side. The second meanwhile inspected the remains of his shield. Not much was intact, but the area with the handle still had a sizable disc with lots of sharp edges..... The second Knight hung back, looking for a better chance to take aim.
Grima heard something annoying in the air, but was too focused on the seeming inevitability of Superwoman plowing through the wall to punch him to really block the grenade. The pumpkin bomb detonated against Dragonskin, failing to breech the barrier to inflict serious damage. After a brief flinch and an annoyed, inhumanely deep, growl... The Fell Dragon darted ahead at full superhuman speed, simply letting Dragonskin absorb the impact as he skidded into a wall at the first turn and continued after the Green Goblin. The pair of Risen trailed behind as their master rapidly covered ground. As he neared the Goblin and heard a gunshot the Fell Dragon slowed to be more aware of his surroundings in case of more bombs. Oh, and to charge his other half's favored Thoron spell.
The pair of Risen caught up with their master and charged ahead. The Risem Myrmidon clearing the distanc quickly. A scant few seconds after Luara finished her remark the Risen Myrmidon barrled into the room, katana drawn. Rather than attack the Green Goblin directly, the Myrmidon risked explosive backlash by aiming a horizontal slash at the glider's thrusters.

Ash cursed as the Risen kept moving. Gunfire from the Green Goblin made him dive for cover. Dropping his sword it started to melt being out of his grasp. As one of the Risen struggled to free its sword Ash looked at the one who had its sword free. Pushing himself up Ash charged the Risen.
Ice gauntlets clenched he threw a punch but let out a scream of pain as the blade sliced into his shoulder. Grabbing the sword he froze the blade and brought his fist back getting ready to shatter it when a force rammed into him. Crashing through a window into the museum Ash let out a yell as he hit a painting and dropped to the ground.
Ash grabbed his shoulder and froze his new wound. His gauntlet on his left hand shattered and in pieces from his crash through the window. "Oh man that's gonna hurt in the morning." Ash pushed himself up and saw a figure float in through the window. "Oh no."

Shadow sat on the roof watching the battle at the police station. Loving the destruction it made the Red Lantern smile. "The people of this world are certainly interesting." His ring glowed drawing his attention to it. Low already?
Following where his ring was directing him. Another battle made the wicked being smile. Stopping above the museum he watched the battle. Enjoying the carnage and hatred he didn't see any point in fighting the Risen. He wanted one of those super beings. He wanted to take on the woman who flew into the museum but a scream caught his attention.
Sub-Zeros shoulder was bleeding. Perfect[/color] He smiled wickedly and charged. It wasn't long until he smashed into the ice warrior sending him into the building. Shadows corrupted blood energed from his body as his Ring glowed. Shaped into a clever he sliced the Risen and floated into the building.
"With blood and rage of crimson red, Ripped from a corpse so freshly dead, Together with our hellish hate, We'll burn you all--that is your fate!" The blood gathered around him as he stared at Sub-Zero. "If you give up now I'll make your death quick and painless. I'm not interested in you I'm going after that superwoman." His blood formed different knives and blades before slicing at Ash.

The Sound of a Barbarian charging towards him along with a loud battle cry got Thor's own adrenaline rushing, without giving it a second thought Thor charged directly towards the barbarian with his own battle cry. Thor entered a full sprint with his palm open to call back Mjolnir, the hammer was a little far so it took a few seconds for it to return but during that time Thor didn't bother comming to a hault or waiting for his trusted hammer. Nay, Thor charged on and when he was a few feet away from the Barbarian he noticed the large axe being swung with the intention of literally disarming him. Mjolnir was on its way to Thor but Thor didn't slow down infact he appeared as if he didn't care about catching it at this point. Him and the barbarian were mere seconds away from a collision when Mjolnir quickly struck the Barbarian's face from the side unexpectedly since Thor had used himself as a decoy target for the barbarian while directing his hammer.
The loud clang of the asgardian element used to make mjolnir rang in Thor's ears as it collided with the barbarian's jaw. Thor then directed his attention towards the museum enterance and began walking towards it while calling Mjolnir back to his hand. Thor was unaware that the first barbarian he attacked was down but not out so he assumed he was done out here. That was until he noticed something covered in red flying through a wall that supported the window in an attempt to catch the fellow hero of ice. In the process the wall that supported the window was brought down. Thor hadn't learn't the younger hero's name but that didn't quite matter, he quickly began to sprint towards the hole where the window used to be, Thor got there just in time to hear the being covered in red energy recite a twisted verse of poetry.
"Hault, and you will leave unscathed. I give you my word." Thor's voice rang with a deep tone of warning while he walked in using the new entrance the red being had created by destroying the wall that held the window up. Thor stood infront of the younger hero looking at the red knives and blades that were constructed by the man covered by red.
