Zod walked through the forest getting a weary feeling from carrying a space pod on his back. He hadn't absorb a lot of solar radation to gain full power, but gotten enough to have super strength and a few other powers. He had wondered if he landed anywhere near civilization at all. He thoughs were answered when he came out of the woods and saw a full view of the city from a cliff and it made him stair down at the city in awe and wonder. To him it was a incredible sight to behold and made him want to know more about this world. After he hid his pod in the wilderness, he ran at superspeed into one of the city's alley ways. Jumping on to a nearby building, the teen surveyed, but didn't see many people around.
He was ready to move on when there was a explosion in the distance. Turning to the noise from pure shock, the first thing he saw was smoke on a roof top. Wasting no time, the teen became a blur and ran down the street at inhuman speeds that made him invisible to the naked eye. He arrived at a rather large building that had many vehicles around and with the letters "K.P.D," on them. From this Zod guess that they were a organization of some sort, but it was only a guess. On the roof top was a vehicle meant for flying through the air next to two men with weapons in their hand shouting.
They must be the people causing the mess by the looks of things. Running pass the polices Zod ran up to the roof and in front of the men. One of them shot at him with a machine gun, but we all know how that song and dance goes. The bullets had no effect on him and sort of bounced off him. "You will stop this at once!" The second one stepped up with a rocket launcher aiming it at him. "Wrong move kid." The rocket was fired from the launcher and was sent speeding to Zod.
The Kryptonian took it to his body, but was sent off the building into another alley on a pile of trash bags. The two laughed at him from the roof before taking off in the helicopter with the police on them.

Across the street from the bank there was a young woman in her mid 20's that was watching the whole things down. If she was honest with herself then she would say that she was scared to death.but a lot of people would be when they are a few feet away from a shoot out involving a crap ton of cops. She saw someone fall off the roof and into a pile of trash bag. After the cops and robbers left the area, she conviced herself to go into the alley. It was a understatement to say that she was quite shock to see a teenager in a jump suit.  A low groan from the teen made her go eye wide in shock. How the hell was he still alive? She looked around seeing that no one was around and grabbed hold of him. She picked him up and brought him over across the street into her car. Getting in the driver's seat she drove the car down the street towards the hospital. But that soon changed after seeing that the damage was healing right in front of her. Wow.....just....wow. After several minutes of debating mentally, the car drove to her apartment. |

Calling the polices could have made more sense, but for some reason she was scared of what will happen to him. Making sure the land lord wasn't in the lobby, she moved up the stairs with the teen in her arms in a hurry. After getting the door open she sat the teen down on the couch and when into the bathroom. She turned on the cold water from the sink and splashed it on her face. This was all to much for her. She just needed a minute to think. But sadly she wouldn't get that minute because when she got back into the living room, the teen was walking up.
Zod just staired at her for a moment before speaking up. "Who are you and where have you taken me?" He was pretty calm for a kid who was take into a random person's home after getting shot. But he was still oblivious to this world's way of common sense. "Um.....I'm Maya Jackson and your in my apartment home. You were shot by a rocket and the police ignored you in that alley so I took you back here. Sorry I just had a bad feeling that something would have happen to you of they took you." Zod have her a warm smile on his face. "Thank you Ms. Jackson. But even though I would have been fine I still appreciate your kindness."
"It's ok just doing my good deed for the day."
Zod tilted his head slightly confused at her statement. "Is that a requirement for everyone on this planet."
"Um...no it's just a expression, but people always do good things for others. Wait did you say on this planet? So what your alien?" She asked the last bit with a hint of disbelief.
"You don't think I can be from another world,"Zod asked suprised that she didn't believe him.
His question was answered with a head shake. He tried thinking of several ways to get her to believe him, but only found one way. "Ok then. I'll show you."
Maya was about to protest, but was cut off by Zod picking her up and running at speeds no normal man can run at. It wasn't even a whole minute before they got to where his pod was hidden in the forest. Maya was still coming out of the shock of being carried at such speeds, but had enough sense to see his pod. She said no words, but her shock was shown from her mouth hanging open. They stood in silences for several minutes before she closed her mouth and looked at him.
"Wh.....who are you.....exactly?"
"My name is No-Zod from the planet Krypton."
"So they just decided to send you off in a space pod across space?"
"Well I wasn't born on Krypton it's been destroyed for a while now. I was actually born in another realm that acts as a prison for the criminals of Krypton."
Ok now it was getting to the point where it was getting weird.
"Ok? Where are your parents."
"They're still trapped inside," he said with a calm tone and a smile on his face. But it only confused her more that this boy from another world is on a random planet without his parents, but he's ok with it?
"Ok kid why are you so calm about this?"
"Because they are criminals who wanted to take over Krypton with a iron fist and-"
"OK OK! I'm good now I believe you," She practically shouted cutting him off.
"Look you need a place to stay and since we already know each other I'll let you stay with me."
"Are you sure? I don't want to be a bother."
"It's fine besides you need someone to help you learn and adapt to this place right?"
"Oh! That's right!"
"But you can bring that space ship with you my apartment. Keep it hidden here until I can find a place for it."
Giving her a nod he covered his pod in leaves and others things laying around before they when back to her apartment for the night so that she can settle Zod down in the morning.
